#Valentinos #FolksyFriday #Handmade #Folksy

Ity`s Folksy friday time again. No real theme to this one (as usual) apart from the fact that every item is from the Valentinos. For those that don`t know the Valentinos is a daily listing club on Folksy for February. I have been part of the daily listing clubs since September and although it`s hard work keeping up with making something new and listing it every day, it`s also fun too. I have learnt a lot in my months on Folksy and that is mainly due to the people. There is a real sense of community on there and someone is always there to help out with the answers to questions. In my case it was endless questions. Starting with the most basic, `What is an Url and where do I find it?`
I hadn`t seen a blog or Facebook or Twitter and had no idea how any of it worked, but again thanks to so many Folksy folk, I learnt. It wasn`t easy, was very frustrating at times but with help and encouragement from this online community I did it. I Finally Made It!!
So showcasing various items from Folksy is a way of giving back that help I received so unstintingly over the months. Actually, truth be told, am still getting.
Next I want to learn how to put other sellers ads or logos on here. Lots of other sellers have bought from my shop and it would be a thank you to them. Would also like to learn how to put a little video on here and maybe do a tutorial on the ringlets or crochet pattern on my hats. But thats for the future. For now we have a Valentinos Showcase! Enjoy!

Folksy is a place for crafts and fun
for me its where it has all begun.
I made baby blankets when I had to rest
then it was time to put it to the test.
Could I sell them, I was so green,
didn`t think of how they would get seen.
I could crochet when TV and reading were out
so at trying new things I became devout.
Gradually I learnt more and more
and decided to open another store.
UniquelyYours was born for that reason
now I had to create for each season.
Then lots of ACEO`s began to appear
they were here to stay, that was clear.
I had always wanted to paint a picture
now too, paints have become a fixture
Once I tried it, I was truly gone
lost for hours till I was done.
I`m still experimenting every day
practising and feeling my way.
With both crafts that is so true
but I love making things for you!
